TRASH & RECYCLING

  2025 Trash, Yard Waste & Recycling Collection Flyer from J.P. Mascaro & Sons

  • Trash pickup for the entire Borough is scheduled for Tuesdays & Fridays
  • Bulk trash to be collected on both days
  • Recycling is collected once a week on Tuesday (as of Jan 3, 2023)

    Recycling Bins can be purchased at the Borough Office, second floor for $22.00

Items collected for recycling:
  • Aluminum cans, like beer & soda, aluminum foil and foil plates, metal lids, metal food cans (tin/steel)
  • Glass bottles & jars (any color, food & drink ONLY)
  • Plastic containers #1 thru #7
  • Paper & Cardboard should be separate from other items to be recycled. Large boxes should be cut into 2' by 2' sections and bundled
Items NOT collected for recycling:
  • Ceramics, dishes, coffee cups, drinking glasses
  • Glass oven ware, pyrex, Vision Ware, window glass, mirrors, light bulbs
  • Any plastics without #1 thru #7 labeling, plastic bags, styrofoam packaging, bubble wrap, tissue or paper towels
  • Milk or juice wax paper cartons, metallic or coated paper
  • Waxed boxes, books or toys

Yard Waste & Leaf Collection

  • Yard waste will be collected on the 1st Thursday of every month. During the months of April, May and June, yard waste will be collected on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. Leaf collection will be on Thursdays for 6 weeks, beginning in the first week of November. Use only compostable paper bags or open top containers. Each container or bundle cannot exceed the weight limit of 50 lbs. Place yard waste out the night before. Leaves may be placed in open top containers or compostable paper bags. NO PLASTIC BAGS!
  • ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: Tree trimmings up to 2 inch in diameter and 4 feet in length. Shrub bery and hedge trimmings, prunings, garden waste.
  • UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS: No tree roots. Branches can be no longer than 4 ft. in length or 2 inch in diameter.
